F&D’s Seventh Consecutive Year Volunteering for the Merrimack Valley Chapter of Habitat for Humanity

On Friday, June 23, 2006 , forty-three staff members from Feeley & Driscoll, P.C., a 110-person Boston-based regional certified public accounting/business consulting firm serving businesses for over thirty years, volunteered their time and efforts for the Merrimack Valley Habitat for Humanity. The F&D team partnered with Habitat to frame three single family homes and roof one other that will ultimately house families in the Melrose Street Neighborhood in Lawrence , MA . This year was F&D’s seventh consecutive year volunteering for the Merrimack Valley Chapter and the experience was rewarding for all who participated.

Feeley & Driscoll, P.C. and its staff members take an active role in the community. In addition to our work with Habitat for Humanity, each year we participate in events benefiting the following organizations: JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge, benefiting the 2006 Boston Arts Festival; the Patriot’s Charitable Foundation, benefiting Jane Doe, Inc.—Massachusetts Coalition Against Sexual Assault & Domestic Violence; the Jimmy Fund—Dana Farber Cancer Institute; Toys for Tots, and the Boston Children’s Museum. Our staff is strongly encouraged to take an active role in volunteering their time to various community and charitable organizations. Their involvement includes participation in alumni and educational organizations, children’s organizations, board of trustees, and advisory boards, to name a few.

The Merrimack Valley Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization that builds and rehabilitates homes using volunteer labor and donated materials. In their 20-year existence they have built 52 new homes, with 11 now under construction for economically disadvantaged families.
