Massachusetts Severe Storm and Flooding
FEMA Disaster Recovery
Homeowners, renters and businesses of all sizes affected by the recent storms and flooding may apply online or in person for assistance from Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Over $25 million in federal and state disaster assistance has been designated for area residents affected by the record-setting rainfall this past March.
Residents and business owners in the Massachusetts counties of Bristol, Essex, Middlesex, Norfolk, Plymouth, Suffolk, and Worcester who sustained losses may apply for assistance by registering online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov or by calling 800-621-FEMA (3362). People are asked to register prior to visiting any Disaster Recovery Centers. Once registered, FEMA disaster recovery specialists can check individual cases and answer questions about claims.
Assistance to cover uninsured property losses includes grants for temporary housing, repairs, essential needs, and U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) low-interest disaster. For more specific insurance or other reimbursement coverage information on disaster-related losses please contact FEMA.
