On September 16, 2006, members of the Feeley & Driscoll Law Firm services group presented a seminar entitled “The Arrow Goes Up: Improving Firm Profitability” at the ALA Region 1 Educational Conference & Exposition at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT.
Law firms with a strong capital position make better business decisions, can weather unexpected events easier and take advantage of strategic opportunities - all of which lead to profitable growth. This session explored developing and implementing a solid capitalization plan for law firms and how to link it to the partners' compensation system.
Transfers of Partnership Interests at Death: Section 754
On October 26, 2006, Feeley & Driscoll provided a presentation for the Boston Bar Association. The presentation covered Section 754 elections which pertain to the transfers of partnership interests at death. The presentation was well-recieved by the group of estate planning attorneys present.
